The Pacific Place Tea Garden

pacific-place The Pacific Place Tea GardenLynette Jee went from being a civil rights attorney in San Francisco to owning one of the biggest tea businesses in Hawaii. She started by experimenting with different tea varieties and fruit nectars at home and her interest just grew bigger. Having a herbalist as a grandfather, Lynette probably had a natural ability in this arena, but she admits her career move was somewhat impulsive. She decided to go for it after realizing that the tea market was kind of wide open. After landing big accounts particulary Sheraton Moana Surfrider, Halekulani and Princeville Resort, it appears she made a good choice.

The Pacific Place Tea Garden imports teas from all over the world and experiments with them to create one-of-a-kind concoctions. Her unique blends have given her business from hotels and resorts asking her to come up with their own signature tea. In 2005, Lynette decided to open a cafe in Ala Moana that offers freshly made ice teas, daily afternoon tea service and a dessert bar using Hawaiian tropical teas and rare estate teas you can find in Hawaii’s best resorts. After 13 years in the business, there’s nowhere to go for the Pacific Place Tea Garden but up.
