In the early 1930’s, Soichi Ohta learned the art of making Japanese Tea Cookies. In 1933, he opened a small factory and store together with his wife. In 1941, which he named his company the Ohta Candy Factory. This is where he made his famous Red Coconut Balls. In 1954, he was able to buy a small company which is known until today as Hawaii Candy.
Even though Ohta’s company grew and changed its names, the products he produced didn’t change. His company still made the Japanese Tea Cookies he first learned to make and put him in the market. Aside from this, they also made rice cakes, coconut balls, cookies, taro chips and more. The best and freshest ingredients are still utilized to make the best and finest cookies and candies.
Hawaii Candy’s products are rich in flavor and are perfect for the family. They make wonderful snacks and are also beautifully packaged to make the ideal gift for every occasion.
